Beautiful Place by the Sea was officially released last week! It has been the most amazing journey, and I am so grateful to everyone who has ordered a copy, served as an ARC reader, been a member of my street team, or shared on social media or in person about the book. I am so, so grateful for all of your love and support.
If you've been waiting to order your copy until release day, don't worry: I'm still signing all copies ordered directly through Astralumen Press. You can also order via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, or your local independent bookstore's website.
Also super exciting and fun are the custom Beautiful Place by the Sea X Briarwick candles that just came in! About half of them are going to my ARC street team in their thank-you boxes, but there are plenty more, so those are for sale in the Astralumen Press merch shop, too. The candles smell divine: they perfectly marry the ocean breeze and the scents of Shoreline Books, where Ivy and Oliver work. The folks at Briarwick even managed to work in some vanilla cedar as an homage to Oliver. ;-)
If you love pairing stories with music…
The Beautiful Place by the Sea playlist is live! It’s all coastal, dreamy, and romantic, just like the book.
This book is a quiet, emotional, seaside love story. It's about the versions of ourselves we outgrow, the ones we’re still afraid to become, and the places that feel like home even when everything else feels uncertain. If that sounds like your kind of read, I’d love for it to find its way to you.
Check out what ARC reviewers have been saying!
🐚 The banter between Ivy and Oliver is pure magic-there is no other way to describe it! I was immediately drawn into Ogunquit and loved finding out that it is a real place. The weaving of various storylines was done effortlessly. As a book lover, the setting of a bookstore, along with the sea, was perfection! If you’re looking for a cozy romantic read for February, then look no further.
🐚From the very first chapter, I had that immediate oh yes, this is going to be good feeling, and I was right. The writing flows, pulling you into the setting and the characters’ inner worlds so naturally. This is a gentle story that hits deep. There’s something especially comforting about a story centered around books and book lovers. It adds an extra layer of coziness and emotional connection that made this one even more satisfying to read. I loved the banter between Ivy and Oliver — it was so well written. I also enjoyed Ivy’s internal monologue, and together they gave me so many genuinely laugh-out-loud moments. Beneath the humor and romance, the story carries deeper themes of grief, healing, and finding your way after loss and heartbreak. This is a story I’ll remember not just for its charming seaside setting, but for its relationships — new, healing, and rediscovered — and the quiet, meaningful ways people learn to love better. I also loved that the supporting characters felt just as interesting and fully formed. I even held off on finishing this book for a few days because I wanted to savor it. I didn’t want to leave this lovely coastal town — or Ivy and Oliver. The conclusion came together in a beautiful and satisfying way.
🐚WOW 😍 This book was so cute and charming. I loved the setting of Ogunquit and the coastal charm of the small vacation town. It reminds me of my favorite place to visit in the summer. Not so Meet cute in a bookstore, what more could you ask for. The banter between Ivy and Oliver is so good and watching them slowly recognize their feels for each other was so sweet. I loved the secondary plot of the grandparents story and the discoveries they Ivy finds along the way.
🐚A beautifully written coastal romance. From page one I was drawn into Ivy and Oliver's story. Their banter with each other sucked me in. In Beautiful Place by the Sea you will learn of some family secrets, dance halls, Shoreline bookstore and so much more!
🐚Absolutely loved this book. It completely pulled me in from the first pages and never let go. The setting is vivid and atmospheric—I could practically feel the sea air—and the story itself is emotional, reflective, and quietly powerful. The author has such a beautiful way of capturing relationships, longing, and the small moments that end up meaning everything. I flew through this and immediately wanted more. Can’t wait to read more of her books!
🐚I loved this story! It was so romantic and pure that I just couldn’t put it down.
The story between Oliver and Ivy had me in a chokehold with the banter, plus you almost get 2 stories in 1 with finding out about her grandma. I love how it makes you believe in love. It was the perfect read, it was warm and almost magical ❤️ I will definitely be recommending this book!
