Whenever I'm working on a story, I like to build a playlist that includes both songs mentioned in the book and tracks that capture the mood and energy I want the story to convey.

When I was writing Beautiful Place by the Sea, I listened to this playlist nonstop! In fact, even months after I finished the novel, I'm still listening to it.

Having the playlist on while I write helps me step fully into the characters’ emotions and the story’s atmosphere. Now that the book is out in the world, I wanted to share my Spotify playlist with all of you. Listen to it while you read or just to feel transported to the beach in southern Maine.
