Music is an incredibly important part of my writing process. Whenever I'm immersed in a story, I create a playlist that includes any music that actually appears in the story, plus any music that fits the general vibe of the story I'm telling.

 

For Ghost Writing, that meant a lot of music from the '90s and early 2000s, including plenty of ska and lots of songs from the Clueless soundtrack. 🤣 Callie and Will also share a love for Tom Petty, and their first dance is to "You and Me" by Tom Petty, so that was a big focal point of the playlist for me.

 

Listening to the playlist while I'm writing puts me in the right headspace to convey what the characters might be thinking or feeling. I wanted to share my Spotify playlist for Ghost Writing with you so you can check it out for yourself. I hope you enjoy it!
